In our Shared Services departments, different teams work hard to make the daily work of our collaborators as pleasant as possible. That's why tasks and functions within this department are exceptionally diverse. That way, the department supports the realization of our waste-to-energy projects. This department takes care of reception, our buildings' maintenance and management, the organization of our business trips and events, and so on. In addition, our team manages all financial plans and transactions, the different technical solutions, and IT. Also part of this department: the HR team, which is in charge of recruiting, onboarding new colleagues, training and development of our collaborators, and payroll and fringe benefits management. On the legal front, we provide support for bids and contract negotiations and the team is also responsible for managing all health-and-safety activities. They also organize company parties!
 
Lastly, we have some Business Development Managers actively detecting new projects and leads on an international scale. They make waste-to-energy projects concrete and liaise between the future client and our internal organization.
 
Along with some 20 colleagues in EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety), Business Development, Finance, HR, Legal, IT, and Office Services, we're more than happy to do our utmost every day to help our organization ahead. The hustle and bustle that goes with organizing and carrying out a broad range of activities such as training sessions and workshops, a ping-pong tournament, community service activities, and town-hall meetings is typical of our department.
 
Also, we definitely don't lose sight of smaller, fun projects. For example, we have Keppel Seghers cycling gear, fruit in summer and soup in winter, tailor-made desks, honey from the beehives on our roof, and new dressing rooms with spacious showers for our athletes.
 
So, we don’t just make sure our teams can deliver quality work and focus on their core assignments, but also that they can have fun at work and feel good in their work environment. In sum, as Shared Services we're not just in the thick of it, we also like taking care of our Keppel Seghers colleagues. That's how, together, we successfully carry out waste-to-energy projects for our customers all over the world.
